Sourcing grapes from the most southerly vineyards in Africa, Du Toitskloof produces this South Coast series as one of its premium ranges. The long day length and moderate temperatures during ripening results in unique varietal expressions, low yields and the achievement of true physiological ripeness at moderate alcohol levels with high natural acid levels that makes Land’s End a pleasurable drinking experience and adds to the aging potential of our wines.
Land’s End is an authentic Cape South Coast wine, owning and leading regional Sauvignon Blanc and Shiraz in the world.
Black pepper, cardamom, allspice recalls creaky wooden ships of antiquity, barrels spilling over with spice. The oak imparting clove and smoke. Inky black cherry, plum; luscious black fruit, scented and rich, follows on to the palate. Here, red plum joins the chorus. The fruit is abundant, bouncy, lively along a line of bright, Elim acid. Soft, juicy tannins frame all this generosity, layering and receding, implicitly elegant, a finish like salted plum.
Alcohol Volume: 14% Sugar G/L: 3.7
100% Malolactic fermentation follow the alcoholic fermentation and wine is then aged for 20 months in French Oak barrels.
